But the static electricity! You know all Geek Squad employees are naturally immune to it.It's like a really lame superpower. And also I made it up.They probably don't even try to avoid static.
Yeah, it's not like they're forcing them to have them set it up if they buy from Best Buy. What's the problem? I personally would scoff at it, ignore it and say "No, thanks. lol. I'll set it up myself".
wow. i have done full installs/finding obscure video/audio/network drivers ( i agree with Metalcard above, it is not always extremely easy when someone just shoves a system they know nothing about in front of you) 4 times this semester already, twice for people i didn't even know... i could have a grand right now at that rate, and did it all for nothing.
f**k best buy, I hope it goes bankrupt like Circuit City did, they are just as s**tty as circuit city was, the only reason they survived was because their stores were set up slightly better, and their tech support made geek squad look like computer geniuses. If you want to make best buy a better store, fire all the assh**e/moron employees, which means about all the employees and bring in robots to do their jobs.
I've always wanted to go there :( , see whats all the fuss about. Be nice to browse around at the new products then I can get the idea what the product looks like, since I order everything from newegg^^.
Talk about dumbed down America and idiocracy from someone who uses an apostophe plural ("case's"? REALLY?), uses "to" in place of "too", and talks about having to "REED" the instruction manual. Sweet jeebus, I love Digg.
The reason it's upsetting is the ridiculous cost. Plumbers can get away with overcharging for an easy job because they're educated, and since their skills are highly sought after their time costs more. Random first-year university student Geek Squad member #1,142,802 is just that; a random, normal person, with no special skills to speak of beyond reading a flowchart... let's say it takes 20 minutes for them to get to your house, and 20 minutes to set up the PS2. An hour of this person's time is worth $130? f**k no, but the people this is targeted at don't know any better.
