Google/Yahoo and Msn are really trying to grab any piece of money from their advertisers. They use the excuse of saying this is what their users want but surely people do not want to go on a site not selling what they are looking for. It's totally the opposite of what search engine are trying to achieve... returning the most relevant results.
How much of Google's revenue comes from this type of advertising? Is it better for them to ignore the big brands and let them pull out or fix the problem and stop the piggybackers? Which looses them the least amount of money?
