I have been doing multiple projectors projections for years, about 8. Yesterday I was actually demonstrating the new technology we are using to achieve maximum result. I regularly do resolution like 5180x1080 or 6300x1080 on large panoramic screens and that has got to be the single ugliest projector blend I have seen to date, colors were awful to a point where you could see each projector in the final image just by looking at the color shift, the seam was very visible with some awfull pixel distortion, I mean they basically put 5 projectors, roughly aligned them and used warping tools to achieve their results.Don't get me wrong warping will be necessary but at least learn to freakin place, align and geometrically correct your projectors, try and match colors and at the very last resort use warping, that was just brutal... almost as awful as auto stack, if you can get auto stack to actually work...If you want a very nice projector blend with MUCH higher resolution look at this (they are using industrial silos as the projection screen, largest in the world today):http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PlCxNffVxEc&fea ...You want high res but no blend (LED wall) then look at this:http://www.crunchgear.com/2009/06/02/video-comcast ...
