kahlessreborn...glad you are not my stock broker. Vonage is facing a case that could put them completely out of business (and at best will severely destroy their business) and you are saying it is a good time to buy stock?
TheWeez, if you can't even understand the difference between patents and copyrights, let alone the fact that some of them are exceptionally ludicrous, you should strongly consider just not opening your damn mouth. Better not to speak and be thought a fool, than to speak and be known one.
Yeah, Comcast called a few days ago offering me their VOIP package that costs me 3 times what I pay for Vonage service.I'm sitting this one out feeling confident that Vonage will work it out in court.
The only alternatives to Vonage for me is either Skype or VoIP offered with my telco, neither of which are any good. Skype's all well and good but I've found Vonage much more reliable, better quality and better support overall.
If the loss of this case sticks through the appeals process, they've lost a $60m fine and 5.5% royalty. They've already put that $60m and are putting the 5.5% into an escrow account. This loss, even if upheld, doesn't put them "out of business". Failing to translate their marketing dollars into recurring revenue would put them out of business.
Voicepulse is excellent except for if you want to fax or have a PVR that dials-up. I got tired of Vonage's fees. My $25 a month phone bill was quickly a $30+. It is the same game that the wireless providers play.

Thank God they won this stay!! I live in London and calling home would suck without Vonage. I love ahving a California number in my flat.
