downloaded and installed on my 400MHz, 180 meg ram XP laptop. You really have to follow the directions to the letter, especially at the end of the install. Install went great for me, just had to turn off glass effects. Thanks!

Every time I try to rebuild my icon cache with this, it freezes. How do I fix this?

If you're just looking for the core "purdyness", I'd wait for Windows X to release the standard Visual Style Pack, which will include the msstyles Visual Style and WindowBlinds skin.

...and so with relevance i quote:"you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel lucky?"As mentioned a couple times above, be very careful with this! It 'bricked' my machine as well. Take ThePerp's advice and read up. I even did my homework, yet got screwed.

Because people like to control their digital content, and keep the extra 1/2 a GB of ram that Vista restricts and requires.

I just installed it... of course, backing up my files and going through safe mode. It looks great, and works great. I don't notice any slowdown on a 2.2ghz Turion with 2gb of ram. I took the extra safe route on my lappy.I also installed it on my older desktop. I didn't go through safemode, but I did back up files... again, just in case. The desktop runs it fine on a 2.53ghz P4 with only 512mb of ram. The only chugging I notice is when you drag a window with glass effect around the screen real fast. If you feel uncomfortable with this method, I also installed XPize, and that is very nice aswell... of course, only if you use XP Home... it gives you the shine and luster of Media Center.Overall, I'll digg, only because I didn't have any problems when I installed it on two reasonably different machines. That and it looks real purdy!
