gamasutra.com — ".. specifically noting that the Xbox 360 version will support 1080p resolution, a first for the console, as well as a Xbox Live spectator mode. Online support will be specific to the Xbox 360, while the PlayStation 3 version will include added support for the PS3 controller's tilt functionality in lieu of being able to play online."

The lack of online should be laid squarely at the feet of Sega, NOT Sony. There are plenty of online capable games on the PS3. Resistance plays like a champ online (and get this - it uses your PSN login/id). Sega has made some very strange decisions over the last year or so.

"ive played the Wii -- im not impressed. At all. the exagerated, whole-body-play Virtual Reality experience protrayed in the commercials is nonsense. the tracking sucks... you really are limited to smallish, motions." - wageslave1Rubbish, rubbish, and more rubbish. Sounds like someone is simply "Wii challenged."Wii tennis has been a HUGE hit with every single person who has tried it on my system. After giving it a try, the system sells itself. Period. I could charge the neighbors $5 a game, and I'd have a line out my front door (yes, the Wii is still hard to come by).1080p, fancy graphics and sound, "Uncanny Valley," whatever you can throw out...in the end, Wii tennis will stomp Virtua Tennis 3 for pure playing fun. And when someone comes out with an even more realistic tennis sim for Wii, tennis games on the other consoles will look laughable.

@mysticmaven Obviously you didn't read the PS3 Oblivion article it loads faster, looks better, and has less frame drops than the X360. Secondly developers can utilize the Harddrive on PS3 to speed up load times significantly. X360 games are doing the same in the future, hope you have the premium X360 or else you are going to be forced (ie not "choice") to buy their overpriced Harddrive.

"I completely agree with maxpl. Wii tennis is great but it is no simulation of real tennis."But it's far more realistic than pushing left and x while holding z. Some people have expectations that are entirely too high.

"You don't need HDMI cables to output 1080p, component works fine for that"BZZT!!! WRONG!!!! Most 1080p TVs these days require 1080p to be sent in via a digital connection. Component, which is an analog connection, will give you 1080i. Besides, the 360 itself won't output 1080p over the component cables. You'll need to plug in the VGA cable before the unit will output a 1080p signal:http://www.engadgethd.com/2006/09/21/xbox-360-hd-dvd-playback-maximum-1080i-via-component-1080p-vga/However, for the vast majority of 1080p TVs out there, you'll need a straight digital DVI (DVI-D) or a HDMI connection. Some TVs will allow you to use VGA or an analog DVI (DVI-A) connection for 1080p resolutions, but weather or not it actually displays properly varies from manufacture to manufacture. You can thank HDCP and the movie industry for forcing TV manufactures to only allow digital 1080p connections in just so they can attempt to close the "analog hole."And, no, you can't convert VGA or DVI-A to DVI-D or HDMI just by using adapters. You'll need an analog to digital converter which can cost several hundreds of dollars.Personally, 1080i is just fine for me until the 360 actually gets real digital video output cable.
