guardian.co.uk — A long-standing mystery over the way men's skulls changed from long to round in medieval Europe has been deepened by discoveries at a Yorkshire village.Huge volumes of data cast doubt on all current theories about the unexplained blip between the 11th and 13th centuries which has been recorded by archaeologists across the continent.

I was sooo pissed! I was already biased against ancient European technological advances, so I was ready to disprove and discredit everything they said. BUT NO PICTURES! lol. what a ripoff.

I can't remember where I heard this, but I heard several months ago that the Egyptian pharaonic bloodline had an genetic skull deformity that caused their skulls to elongate, which was said to be a sign of their "divinity"Most people have usually dismissed this as a result of inbreeding, Marfan's disease, etc., but this article brings up new possibilities....perhaps genetic conditions we consider to be "disorders" are genetic traits, inherited from ancient crosses with subspecies (or aliens or nephilim, depending on your level of sanity.)..........A Pic I found:http://www.robertschoch.net/XAmen1w240.jpg

Agreed, somehow "intelligent design" played a part in this and is in no way an indication as to how a species can change. There, I did that with a straight face.

Must have a long brain to understand that logic. This is about spreading out the area of the brain to dissipate heat. They are thinking there may be other advantages of round heads that aren't related to heat now. It could just as likely be something to do with epidemiology -- but to me, it's more likely a byproduct of another gene. Perhaps the gene that confers a resistance to the plague, is tied to the round head -- so it was a byproduct of another gene.It may also be due to more calcium in the diet, or perhaps Round heads offer better protection against people bashing them in.However, they may have just forgotten the most likely truth of isolated communities; human beings can get into some weird and stupid s**t if they are allowed to. Isolated communities offer a protection against people with societies that aren't as backward. If for instance, you have a group of people that eat lead paint, historically, they are likely to be overwhelmed by people who don't eat lead paint.America may go through the process of getting our butt's kicked because we import food and oil and export jobs -- a behaviour that is not condusive to self-reliance. Competition will weed out some of the dumber moves of any society.
