People need to let this game go. It wasn't even close to being the best FF.It's like the Halo 2 of RPG's...made more for a mass audience but not the best.

Baldur's Gate II: Throne of Bhaal had the best ending of any game (especially given the awful ending to BG1) I have ever played. Not only was everything resolved, but you make a choice at the end after defeating the Big Boss. Then it gives you a great run down on what happens to all the various members of your party afterwards that is highly dependent on how you interact with them during the game.

Eh, actually I think Chrono Trigger's ending (the main one) kinda sucks. But when you've got a game like that where the actual game itself is so fantastic, I don't think any ending would be enough.

The first thing I thought when I read the title was, "They should have Unreal 2 on this list!" I'm a little disappointed to see it isn't. The ending was a vast departure from the norm; all the supporting characters die and you're left drifting in space. Where was my reward, my congratulations for a job well done? I still haven't played a game that had a more depressing ending.
