Statements in the media have already claimed he suffered from a weak heart.I'm pretty sure that still doesn't mean the police are allowed to cause his death, though. And yeah, he was late 30s / early 40s if memory (of the details in the press the following day) serves
Western "democracy" is the veiled dictatorship of the financiers, industrialists and aristocracy. It is democracy for those people. There is no democracy in any institution with real power--the armed forces, police, civil service, media, schools and universities and crucially in the work-place and corporations. Democracy for rich shareholders yes, but not for the work force. The private school old boy network, "the right people in the right places", is vastly over-represented in the upper echelons of these institutions: army hierarchy, senior civil servants, news media editors (especially the BBC!), the boards of banks and companies and they are also the dominant cadre within Parliament. Powerful corporate lobby groups have direct, secretive access to the Ministries and the senior civil servants get plumb jobs in the companies that employ the lobbyists. Parliament is a rubber stamp.for decisions made elsewhere on anything decisive.
