This world is in a sad state of affairs due mainly to the greed, incompetence and dishonesty of our "leaders". McCain has been bought in total by the right wing cabal. Heaven help us all.
What the hell is wrong with John McCain?I've always considered him to be level-headed, but his stance on the Iraq war absolutely astounds me. When I watch interviews of him discussing his war stance, he looks like a guy who doesn't even believe his own rhetoric. What has got him so scared that he feels that he can't take an anti-war stance? Is it politics? Is it about being seen as damaged by his captivity during Vietnam? Is this about the promise of a hundred million dollars for a campaign?I know that last one may sound accusatory, but remember in one night, Geroge Bush walked into a fund-raiser in early 2000, and walked out with about a hundred million in campaign pledges. And even still, they went on to lie, cheat, and steal their way through a PRESIDENTIAL election...Is it possible that when you get down to brass tacks about it, we really need to have control of the oil in that region?I've heard estimates as high as 750 billion barrels in the Caspian Basin and Northern Iraq........................
