liberatedfilms.com — These guys just launched last week and they have a whole bunch of free full-length flash movies that feature independent films. Couple are really funny, and a few will get the tears going, it's worth a minute to enjoy.

Same people who are on Myspace use youtube so what do you expect?

I love the site but I'm having trouble uploading my film. The upload just stops halfway and refuses to budge. I tried both Opera & Safari. Is it a browser issue?

very well designed site... although i don't know about "beating the hell out of atomfilms", these guys have a ways to go before they can reach the brand name that atom has become. besides, they have a new one in the works, a little more web 2.0 ish. check it, sneak preview:<a class="user" href="http://beta.atomfilms.com/home.jsp">http://beta.atomfilms.com/home.jsp</a>but props to LF, great interface and it's always nice to see someone giving exposure to short film.

Well, for one, atomfilms does not accept electronic uploads from filmmakers; instead, it sends you to a "sister site", addictiveclips.com with the promise that they're monitoring it, and if they like what you submit, they'll bring it over to atomfilms and let you know. That right there, is a huge minus in my book.

<a class="user" href="http://beta.atomfilms.com/film_upload.jsp">http://beta.atomfilms.com/film_upload.jsp</a>the reason why they prefer physical submissions is because they get a master copy of the film. even if you upload your short to atom, they will still ask you to submit a high-quality, uncompressed file or a DV tape for syndication purposes. if you're serious about your film, you shouldn't have a problem with taking a short trip to the post office. addictiveclips is gay, i agree. i don't think that they should have connected the two, but they wanted to get into the viral market and the best way to do that was to exploit the popularity of atomfilms.com.
