thinkprogress.org— Despite numerous claims from media outlets and pundits -- even after the Libby verdict -- Plame confirms she was covert.

"Probably" telling the truth? No way to ever confirm this and she knows it. The agency will never confirm or deny if she was covert. She could be lying her ass of and you could never prove perjury.
TIP OF THE ICEBERG. Down tumbles the house of cards with nothing but jokers in the deck. This is gonna get UGLY and I CAN'T WAIT!!!BUSHCO needs to GO GO GO!!!
Look at the bloke wearing a wig, at the back in pink with the words 'impeach bush now' written on it.Wonder if the TV will blur him out on their 10 second bites.
Rawshark:>Even if she was technically covert (which the CIA will not confirm or deny, this is only her assertion), her being in the CIA was common knowledge inside the beltway. Rumor has it that Wilson would introduce her socially as "my CIA wife".Even if that were true, and I highly doubt that it is (it fails the sniff test), whether someone works for the CIA has nothing to do with covert status. Even if he had said this, many people work for the CIA, and it would be fine to state this.
There's been some investigation into what he took, and there's a lot of evidence that most if not all the things he took were copies, or things that had copies. But ask yourself this: How many people's lives were put at risk because of Sandy Burger? How many livelihoods were ruined because of Sandy Burger? How much sensitive information was made public because of Sandy Burger?Outing a CIA agent not only puts that agent at risk, it puts all agents who worked with that agent at risk, and ruins the front business that agent worked for. There's a very good reason agents remain in covert status for years after working covertly. Now, I'm not saying what Sandy Burger did wasn't wrong, but it's on a whole different scale. And just how many of you "security minded conservatives" who keep bringing up Sandy Burger really care about how a covert CIA agent was outed?
I agree with you. If she was covert, let's prosecute Richard Armitage since he leaked her name. Why isn't he being prosecuted? As for Sandy Burglar, we don't know what he took. It doesn't matter if someone was hurt or not. The former WHNSA is destroying and hiding SOMETHING just before he is set to testify. That's hardly trivial.
