thinkprogress.org — Today on the Senate floor, Sen. Tom Harkin (D-IA) condemned Rush Limbaugh?s "phony soldiers" comment, stating, "Maybe he was just high on his drugs again. I don?t know whether he was or not. If so, he ought to let us know. But that shouldn?t be an excuse."

Joey is right, Rush merely pointed out to those of us that haven't really followed everything Fox had done, that the guy had ignored his meds in order to garner political points. Which in my mind is unconscionable, given that there was no disclaimer about it. If Fox wanted to illustrate the effects of Parkinsons then sure go ahead and tell thus that is what your doing, but don't act like the medicine you are on doesn't help at least somewhat as a means to your end.

and even with all those snide remarks it has not affected his show one bit. Still trounces the every left wing radio show combined every day. Oh yeah and the drug problem was how many years ago, part of becomming addicted to painkillers because of some back surgery that didn't go well. How many everyday Americans find themselves addicted to something like that? Painkillers, Ambien, caffeine, or a bottle of wine a night?

You know if Limbaugh had added Jesse Macbeth to his 'phony soldiers' commit after this made up story came out it would be much different. but he didn't. the comparison was made in the same convo. But if the Left back tracks now they will look even more like idiots. So rather saying "you got me" it is better to deny what was really said and rely on the fact 65% of the people in this country only trust sound bites

Of course they do, and those attacks would be equally despicable.
