thinkprogress.org — n a fiery speech last night, Rep. John Murtha (D-PA) blasted Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) for joking about improvised explosive devices (IED) during his appearance on the Daily Show on Tuesday. "Imagine a presidential candidate making a joke about IEDs when our kids are getting blown up!" he shouted loudly. "It?s outrageous!"

The IED joke was actually McCains best. It was possibly in bad taste, but reasonably funny. He then, however, proceeded to joke about that he had kicked the dog which was on the set.Yes, really. He gave a very jittery and nervous impression throughout, even though Stewart did his best to make McCain look good. I think he basically had a mental meltdown and garbled the jokes and lines he'd memorated and planned to deliver, and the result was... not very favorable.

I have heard of troops having a good time in March with a specific joke. "Beware the IEDS of March."Troops and people use humor to relieve stress and other reasons. The Dems and the Reps are overdue, and should stop fighting and WORK TOGETHER for once. Instead of squabbling over what someone said on a late night comedy program.
