Is it possible that her brain can keep developing but hher body does not? So what you end up with is a baby that has the mental capability of a 12 year old and the physical ability of a 6 month year old (therefore not allowing her to walk or talk)?
So since she doesnt age...is she imortal to death from aging? Lets say she is healthy from now on and has no real medical issues, would she live forever?
@popfrogs said:"I imagine that she can express only needs, like hunger, cold, pain, etc. She has had numerous brushes with death and plenty of health problems, which suggest an overall low quality of life. "Her body may not be aging, but Brooke's health is deteriorating. She is fed through a tube, and she's had strokes, seizures, ulcers, severe respiratory problems and a tumor the size of a lemon. The four times Brooke has come dangerously close to death,"Stephen Hawking's body is deteriorating (all of our bodies are), he has a debilitating disease, he lost the use of his arms, legs, and voice, and is now almost completely paralysed. What can you say about his quality of life. He has to be fed through a tube. He has suffered seizures as well. It is quite fortunate he is able to express HIS feelings through words (synthesizer, written word), less people like you would justify shooting him in the face by saying you are, so to speak, "putting him out of his misery." Do you not see her happy with her parents or have you become so high and mighty you believe you are able to make a decision to end her life because YOU feel uncomfortable of her unique existence? The will to live in every human being is stronger than you think (becuase you take it for granted). You have no right to make that assumption about her life unless you can definitively tell me she has no will or desire to live another second with her family anymore.
Um. Does she have a strange aversion to sunlight? Like the taste of blood? Does she turn into a bat sometimes? The first thing I thought of was vampires.Seriously, though, I bet it's pretty awesome for her. Maybe not so much for the parents, and I hope no one tries to exploit her to create some sort of fountain of youth. That would be spooky.
Well this is totally bizzarre! I have to say this is the weirdest thing I've seen in a very very long time, maybe ever!I don't think they should "put her down", she doesn't seem to be suffering unduly. It will be rather interesting if we can see what happens with her in the future, assuming she doesn't die shortly of some medical condition.
