Try reading and doing research before you comment. Nearly everything you just said is bull. Cargo ships do not lack control under wind power, they have rudders. They can not only sail with the wind they can sail within 50 degrees of upwind. This isn't backwards technology because they're not replacing the engines they are providing a wind-powered assist.
Better fly that kite into the power zone and be able to do figure 8's onehanded and/or with your eyes closed...Side note: anyone ever hear about kiteboarders who get their kites caught in a thermal updraft? I wonder what that would do to THIS kite..
