He needs to saturate the values so it won't think you are tilting it to the other side.Kinda like how pixel values dont go over the white value when you add colors.
We love our Roomba - we named him Sparky. My wife saw me watching this video on my MBP and promptly told me to leave Sparky alone. :-(She knows me so well.
A company that makes the Rootooth Adapter has another product called the Rootilt (A small device with an accelerometer) he just decided to be pimp and use the MBP sensors with Perl.In other news, this is the same guy who did the Control roomba from a cell phone and a really good java roomba control api.-C

a wii remote or a joystick would be a little more practical. Sort of reminds me of using the Flock of Birds with early VR.
