Uproar over Halo 3 missing promised feature (game browser)

bungie.net — One of the biggest complaints with Halo 2 was that you couldn't look for types of games you were interested in. You could only play the types Bungie created unless you had tons of friends. They promised to remedy that by creating XBL Public, mentioned in various interviews with Bungie employees. That's just it...this ISN'T standard for console games. Many games on XBL have a server browser, even XBox 1 games. Just not Halo 2 and 3.

Add me to the list of the XBL Public supporters. IMO, the worst feature of Halo 2 was the matchmaking only system. It's an impossible feature? Well, then people give you far more credit for your skills as game developers than you deserve. If the feature was so "impossible", then why would you promise it? That really shows this game developer's true colors, and that they frankly don't care about their userbase. Paying customers are telling you what they want from your product, and you are shooting them down and downplaying their importance. Companies spend lots of money in trying to figure out what their customers want in their products. Here, you have an open forum where paying customers are free to tell you what they want, and you don't care. People are having Disc Read Errors with YOUR game only, and you don't care. You make a little acknowledgment about the problem, but you then make no further announcements about the problem. People don't know whether it's the game disc that is causing errors, the game that is causing errors, or their 360's that are causing errors. Is there a patch in the works? This "let's ignore the problem so it will hopefully go away" BS does not work in the real world.Well, I'll tell you what Bungie. I don't care. Halo 3 is the very last game created from your studios that I will be purchasing. Since you don't care how I, the consumer, feels about your product, then I, the consumer, can care less about your products. You sir (the poster of that comment), are very arrogant, ignorant, rude, opinionated, self-centered, and lack business ethics.
