dethroner.com— "I’m a sucker for Google Maps mashups and I’m a sucker for cheap booze. Imagine—no, really, just close your eyes and really soak me in—that I had found a website that mashed up both: Unthirsty.com."

I was about to post this exact message. It is refreshing to find another individual with great hatred for the word "mashup".Hopefully the word will just fade out of usage like "bling". The only people who use that word now are 40+ year olds trying to appear hip to the kiddies.
A great entertainment guide website in Minneapolis St. Paul area is www.twincitiesfun.com. It is a searchable directory of bars and restaurants, with what, where and when clicks. You pull up a page for a site with pictures, description, daily calender, menus and a google map.

I use one for D.C. that is wiki-based, so people can update the specials so they're always current...http://www.drinkguru.com/Also has a bunch of other big cities...Boston, NY, Seattle, etc.
