shakthimaan.com— Guy unpacks his Neo1973 phone. Old Nokia phones look a bit sad next to this thing. Batteries and soldering iron included. Two-year service plan with AT&T optional.

A history class focused on the history of technology....or history of ideas and sciences......or history of economics.Well, those are the history classes I've attended where it's discussed.
as a 33 year old kid, I find them useful, since I practically never carry a camera around with me.. and also, it is very useful to take a photo of some info on a piece of paper or a sign instead of needing to write it down. Not a huge deal, but a very nice luxury that leaves a fairly large usability hole when it isn't there.
I am not sure I like the functionality aspect of this phone. btw, you do not have to wait till october, just go to openmoko's website to order it.http://www.netfreez.com might feature it very soon as well, they tend to have a lot of gsm phones.
A good thing? The public will not stand for it, so it won't be successful and, hence, it will disappear. Not so good news... I was order 1973, if they are swamp by that they are screwed.
Remember it is a business. They are selling hardware so that WE can put software on it. They are supposed to go live in a couple of months. They will fail if they don't respond to customers. Being Open Source doesn't justify not answering your order number 1973...
