People are "calling for a monument to be erected in memory of the babies that had an average life span of between three and six months." Come on - does everyone deserve a frickin monument? There's no question that it's sad when children are neglected and abused, but not everyone is worthy of a monument. It's not like they accomplished anything, so is this just to memorialize what they might have done? ...with the assumption that they all would have done great things?I just don't understand all of the memorials and monuments that everyone wants to erect. Probably every acre on the planet has had someone murdered on it throughout human existence. Does every murder throughout history deserve a memorial?
