why would you get insurance from a entity that profits from denying you health care, and takes a loss from providing needed care. it will always be in the interest of said entity to deny you said heath care. whereas with a government, it is in their interest that you get better, so then youll live a long, healthy, taxpaying life. and if needed health care is denied, you can bet your ass a sizable chunk of people wont be voting for you.

I remember seeing Sicko, where a woman's insurance company dumped her because she hadn't mention a trivial yeast infection she had had years earlier on the application. They let her pay for years and only mentioned it when she needed the insurance to cover an operation. After the show revealed the injustice, the company and woman came to some form of settlement, but it makes you wonder how many others have been screwed the same way.
