I understand what you are saying, but this wasn't an area where the press wasn't allowed. if she had taken the press badge that she was offered no less than four times then she would have had MORE access to the attendees than she had as a "regular person". The big deal with this event is that defcon has worked for a long time to create an atmosphere of trust between law enforcement, hackers, and press and this woman completely flew in the face of that. That is what bothers me.

Ah, whatever, that was stupid. She got 'caught', and she slowly walked away, clearly annoyed but composed the entire time, despite a pack of geeks making idiots of themselves running around her in circles making rude comments. She shouldn't have been there, but they acted like morons when they 'caught' her.
