dailykos.com — Arkansas voters passed by a 57% majority, a vile proposition making adoption by homosexual couples illegal. As a result, 400 children are required to be moved out of homes they were already placed in and into group homes or orphanages, immediately. Arkansas already has three times as many children needing foster care & adoption as it has homes.

"Look, kiddies, get some real experience under your belt about these issues and you might see how it is very good policy to deny adoption and fostering to couples that are not stable, or who will not prove their stability by marriage."Ok, so what makes Gay couples more unstable than "normal" couples? and by experience what kind of experience will let me know how stable gay relationships are? with the exception of course of being in a gay relationship? so you got this experience from being gay? and then of course if gay marrage is illegal, how do you get married? ultimatelty if a person care for another life be it should matter for s**t if he's gay, straight, anything, actions speak louder than bulls**t!!and alot of people seem to forgert that it was illegal for black people to do things like ride buses, so you cave men might aswell get over it, wether you like it or not it WILL eventualy be legal for gay people to adopt, it WILL, theres no two ways about it. its a fact, the less stupid people get the more we progress so its inevitable. and going by your "non-logic" should we not ban ALL adoption and foster care on the basis that there has been BILLIONS times more abuse involving heterosexual parents than gay parents? (and thats a fact, doesnt actualy mean s**t, but its still true! point being, bad people are bad people, being gay has nothing to do with it!!)

I trip out on all the people that think gays should be married and adopt kids, it doesn't bother me if your gay but don't push it on society. If gays were meant to be together why can't you have babies (because it wasn't meant to be), not trying to be mean but it's the truth and people just don't want to accept the truth, they just want it the way they want it (Selfish).

YEA! Something important like.... errr... fight for equal rights.

LOL, our country is so f**ked when most think that homosexual couples can maintain a healthy and stable household to raise children in. Most don't understand the history of marriage, let alone its place in the grand scheme of things. Please digg me down quickly and try to suppress my opinion, just like you have done to your own free will. Bravo, kiddies. Plus, enjoy the wealth of our great nation while it lasts ;) (not for much longer by the looks of things)

It makes me sad to see how some people can't realize that being conservative doesn't make you Christian, and being Christian doesn't make you conservative. I feel like a lot of people bashing Christians on this thread don't really know what they're talking about because they are referring to a small minority instead of looking at the real tenets of Christianity. The people who voted for this act aren't behaving in a Christian manner, in any case - it hurts children. So enough with the Christian bashing. You are mad at the people who passed this law, people of all demographics who voted to take these children away.

I think there are a lot of valid points here. But as a Christian, I want to add something.I don't believe children should be torn way from families where they are already placed and are receiving love and care.Yes Christ is all about love and mercy and hope.It can be debated though what love really is. And I think that is where the conflicts sometimes come in between folks.Christians and non Christians. But I think one thing we can all agree on, is love is not bashing one group or another and I see and read alot of that going on hereI would hope every one would take a step back and look into their own soul and see where they may need to clean up their own inner space, live more honestly, and stop doing things that we "all know" are not love. We'd all have a much better chance at coming to middle grounds if we did.

the gay act is a sin as is adultery no need to confuse Our Children by putting them in such homes. homosexuality is an abomination Unto God He hates the act not the People. God's Word= He wishes that none perish but that the wicked turn from their wicked ways. God Loves us so much that on the end day He will have a moment of silence for the lost souls.

If that happens, she should immediately go to the school administration and ask why they tolerate bullying. It's 2008. When I went to school, abuse between children of all kinds was normal. These days, at my daughter's school, it is absolutely not tolerated. She's 7, she's going to a normal public primary school in Australia, and this is not rocket science. Children generally act within the social parameters of the society in which they find themselves. If the school administration doesn't secretly think bullying is okay, they actually can stop it.

I didn't see anything in the linked source mentioning 400 children (I presume foster) or any mention of children who were adopted officialy being removed from their parents. I also don't see any documentation that AR has 3x times more foster needs than homes. The adoptions, once complete, aren't being undone here. I suspect that after this effort, those who supported the ban will step up and provide homes for the foster children that don't have them anymore. It would be kind of cruel to take them away from homosexuals but then not give them a new family that reflects the model they believe the children deserve.

Best thing about all this? No where in the Bible (Old Testament) does it say anything about gay women and relations, nor that they can not marry. As far as memory serves, it states that no man shall lay together, sure that means doing the horizontal mambo, but hey it's the Christian Bible Belters who have skewed the interpretation. As I see it, God loves women being together, it's natural, we're loving, caring and nurturing.

Another half-truth attempt 2 discredit Christianity. Alas.Christianity is based on Christ's life, death, and resurrection! Christians are "living epistles read and known by all men."Homosexuality, BTW, is perfect proof evolution is a hoax! Evolution requires survival of the fittest! Homosexuality left to itself couldn't survive as it is biologically impossible. The INTOLERANCE of the LGBT losers in the last election typifies their tantrum-throwing toddler mentality & further corroborates why adoption 2 the likes of NAMBLA, who insists on lowering the age of consent to "8 yrs old," should be a foregone conclusion in any rationale mind.Oh, BTW, the HUMAN GENOME PROJECT conclusively dispelled the myth being propagated ad nauseum known as the "gay gene!" So much for separate but equal and equal access civil rights support! $$$ is what is behind the BIG BEVERLY HILLS BUCKS bandwagon known as GLIDE and other such homo-fixated organizations that refuse to respect and abide by the laws, like Prop. 22 and now Prop. 8, both passed and codified into family law in CA, and soon to be amended as approved! Article III Section 3.5 of our CA Constitution requires an Appellate Court find an initiative law unconstitutional before declaring it such, even if the CA Supreme Court itself says so. Why? That's the law! That means that in spite of the UNconstitutional and UNscientific and UNjust ruling last May by 4 secular humanist-sympathetic judicial tyrants usurping the constitutional will of We the People of CA, all the thousands of ILLEGAL gay marriages performed are now in fact NULL and VOID and need NOT be recognized as the law, Family Law 308.5, was NEVER ruled UNconstitutional. That's why We the People have a Constitutional Republic! 2 protect us from MOBOCRACY and TYRANNY and back-door bribery of judges and the judicial system by those who have $$$ like the GLIDE and GLESN groups. Oh yes, I know that my detractors will attempt to vilify me, too, as backwards or a bible-thumper, or resort to many other lame and lunatic-fringe ad hominem attacks seeking 2 impugn my character and for no other reason 2 attack the messenger because they refuse 2 accept the TRUTH of the message. C'est la vie! et C'est dommage! Oh, and for the record, U R just like all the other bible-bashers who resort 2 torturing the text and insisting that since Christ did NOT mention "homosexuality" per se that He must have allowed, accepted, or agreed with it. Wrrrrrrrrrrong! The bible is AXIOMATIC! It proves itself! The OT cannot invalidate the NT and vice-versa. The bible was written by over 40 authors under the divine inspiration by the same holy spirit of I AM, Yahweh, and Yeshua! Since BOTH the OT and the NT clearly condone ONLY 2 genders (male and female) as created for procreation and marriage (Jesus did address that and quoted the OT to clarify both, too), and BOTH condemn HOMOSEXUALITY as an ABOMINATION, yours is a groundless argument that Christ never specifically spoke of homosexuality. He still made clear by both his example, teachings, and references to the OT what God intended Marriage and Family, His creations, not man's BTW, should look like and how they need 2 B protected, defended, and upheld. The innocent (i.e. children) depend on us, their parents, which is why they are called dependents, 2 keep their BEST interests in mind at all times.Dismissing God's ideal 2 supplant it with man's corrupted and perverted ideas further proves my point that man's vain imagination is a poor substitute for God's wisdom and intelligent design. As in CA, AK voters exercised their constitutional right 2 vote at the ballot box and won victories nationwide 2 defend MARRIAGE and FAMILY as God created them 2 B and We the People need 2 accept, respect, and defend/protect them 2 remain FREE as Christ said the TRUTH will make U FREE! That's NOT backwards! That's America! God bless & keep America!

I don't think I would actually count Theology as a subject particularly, except possibly as a subset of the study of limited historical documents.Of course, you can go and do courses on "Klingon", now, so... *shrugs*
