45ipodcases.com — 45 iPOD CASES are built from recycled 45 rpm records that are custom fit to your iPod. Choose from the 45 cases currently available. Why 45's? The center hole is the same size as the iPod's click-wheel. Cost: $45 of course.

Well, makes no sense unless you *remember* that they were referred to as "45's" - the ones with the big holes, I mean.[shakes head in sorrow at being old enough to remember this...]

Nono, it's irony when it's made up of something that's quite similar to iron, but not quite iron.

Irony misuse of the day... heh... check out:<a class="user" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irony">http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irony</a><a class="user" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ironic_%28song%29">http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ironic_%28song%29</a>

that's just wrong.

Actually, vinyl records are extremely tough. You're thinking of the old 70ish RPMs used for victrolas. They were made of a more fragile material that shattered if you dropped it.

calling them 45 rpm records still makes no sense, even if it was common 20 years ago...I'm still buying many records today, and I never heard anyone call a 7" record a "45"btw, most recent records contain 45 rpm sides...some even are 33rpm on one side and 45rpm on the other

the whole of a 7" is a bit smaller than the wheel of my 4G iPod :(
