I get your point, but with XP I can point even a computer novice to the manufacturers website to download the driver and then they run the installer and it works. There's no way that any of my family and friends that ask me computer questions could follow the complex instructions that I had to go through to get the wireless cards working.The situation is definitely getting better, but unfortunately I think that Linux is still a step or two away from my wife/mom/etc being able to switch over and use it without some big headaches.

It is not inaccurate if you are talking about Vista.
