One possible use of this counter would be to find out which version of Ubuntu is most used, which I could see being valuable information to developers.The buttons are a fun little novelty thing you can put on your web page if you want.
@bloodylip You totally missed my point. My point *is* that people use Linux because it's a superior operating system. That is in contrast to the fact that people use Ubuntu because they like it better than other *Linux* distributions.

Just burn the iso to CD, then boot from the CD.
