Yeah, installing Ubuntu is pretty hard. I had to reach down, hit the eject button on my cd-rom drive, put in the disc and then hit that same eject button again. Following this, I had to do the previously stated one time each on two other computers. Such a traumatic experience, I'm still in therapy.
I'm excited to try out the Studio. I'm not terribly familiar with all the packages going into this distro, but here's hoping that they include something that meets or beats AVISynth and MeGUI for encoding.I also have my fingers crossed that the next specialized distro is an official Canonical HTPC package.
From what I've read they are looking at making it a distro focused on audio/video production. To do this, they are looking at taking some stuff out. I saw OpenOffice mentioned as one thing they were considering dropping. I'm sure it would be available for download, just not in the basic install.

YES, this is what Linux and Ubuntu needed; some serious attention to (exclusive) software.

@kalidav: MBR is such an easy fix. If you nede to install GRUB, go here: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/RecoveringUbuntuAfterInstallingWindowsIf you need to reinstall the windows MBR, just boot into the windows cd and run "fixmbr"
