Sorry, but this looks illegal. Is there a reason that this copyrighted material is on the internet?

What does your thoughts of Bible being an offensive word have to do with anything? It is part of the title. There is are a lot of "* Bible" books. It's like "* for dummies", a line of them.

The author deserves to be paid for his work, even if it does happen to be about an open-source OS."Nope.If something lands on the web, it means it is in the public domain, else noone would have uploaded it, would he? Of course he wouldn't :-)I mean, we all respect patents, don't we? Of course we do :-)Wiley probably just copied it from a pre-existing web text and published it illegaly. Or maybe not. Go figure. Who cares.Imho 'authors' (if they are authors and not just plagiarists selling free available stuff) should share their work, if they want to sell it, they should steer clear off the web :-)

Else noone would have uploaded it, would they?Authors that produce something (as far as they just didn't collate free available stuff from the web and decided to steal it) should share what they write. If they want to 'sell' it (what an awful word) they should steer clear off the web.Glad you wrote "though I'm not sure'. You should never be sure when you deal with copycatters and their awful patents. Mostly they are just scums, scraping money from people that distributed it for free (as is the case with this book, that copies everything in sight without even giving due kudos).Anyway, again: if something has been uploaded on the web, we can assume it is in the free domain, else it wouldn't have been uploaded. That's the best way to deal with these things :-)
