Flash was a dog in Gutsy but it's been fine on AMD64 Hardy since about alpha 3. As regards Java, it's works on some sites and not others using the open-source IcedTea Java code in native 64bit. I've had no problems with installed Java applications. It's a shame to see so many negative comments about the 64bit install, understandable I know, but with a live cd it really is simple enough to check out possible problems.

Either way, I like that it's off by default. I don't ever use it, and when it starts indexing, it doesn't play nice with other processes.

There is none, because all the code is still optimized for the old instruction set.
