If your first sentence was true, that would mean it should be buried as inaccurate, not spam.

See, I really liked the control panel. It gave it a more polished look. Any idea if they are going to add it back in?

I did the exact same thing, so don't feel too bad.

Dang just installed Herd4 yesterday, I did upgraded to Herd5 though, but the desktop effects don't work with my nvidia card I have no window border when I enable it. Let's wait to see if they are going to fx this in the RC.BTW Feisty is rocking, not much changed but the system feel more polished and integrated than before, good work Ubuntu Team :)

Sounds like the Window manger is crashing. Are you using Beryl or Compiz? If Beryl - try uninstalling compizIf compiz - I have no idea. Even without Beryl installed I couldn't get Compiz to to work (I'm using KDE).

Why don't they post these to Usenet? I could have the file in ten minutes and not be a drain on the server. (I know, I know, the more people on a torrent the better, but I hate seeding until I get 1:1 with my weak cable connection.)

Most of this stuff has been in OpenSuse 10.2 for 5 months, performing better, cleaner. That alone is a good example of distributed/redundant development that hurts the linux system overall. They get a bad name publicly, but Novell contributes funds, developers time, and code, to a lot of open source projects, they're doing a lot of development work, for instance AppArmor which makes SELinux look stupid, and Mono. They have pretty well based their business model on Linux that should tell you how invested they are in making the system work.

I have to ask, does this work on the Mac?
