One of these new features was introduces with tonight's updates and it is a brand new login screen a.k.a. GDM theme, which is black and has a nice Ubuntu logo in the right bottom corner.

I think it speaks for how sad and boring we all are that we're interested by a new log-on screen. Let alone interested enough to give it over 900 Diggs.

Too bad Ubuntu has an extremely ugly logo.

You remember how Windows 95 and earlier had highlighted timezones you could click on? And that feature is pretty much gone now? Turns out people in India/Kashmir and Peru/Ecuador areas had problems with the borders Microsoft drew and threw a hissyfit and called for boycotts. So Microsoft just caved and removed the feature. http://blogs.msdn.com/oldnewthing/archive/2003/08/ ...

Read what is says under the picture.."This is NOT the default look of Ubuntu 9.04. The theme and wallpaper are third-party!"

Ugh. The current login screen looks just fine. This one looks tacky. Here's the current one: http://www.ubuntu.com/files/GutsyImages/Gutsy-Logi ...How can you say the new one is better?
