Hibernate in my case. Sleep works OK and it resumes and the wifi reconnects fine. Hibernate though is a whole other issue. I've got my own fix for the hard drive load cycle count bug which works fine so while technically it is an issue, it's one I'm aware of and can fixThe Windows network issue is a real problem for me though.
I agree with this guy. I use Ubuntu at work in a heavily based windows environment and when I browse shares I can't always see shared folders that windows machines can. The power management on ALL laptops doesn't work. Hibernation on my girlfriends laptop and my old laptop did not work in 8.10, so I disabled it.
@RealHyperX,Are you using IMAP or POP for syncing your Gmail account? I just checked my Gmail and Evolution settings and they're both set up for IMAP. I don't have any problems at all when using this method.
too much bloat? how, exactly? it fits nicely on a 700 mb cd, and includes ffox, openoffice, media players, and the gimp. Seems pretty complete to me. I think I have to change the NIC card on my 10 year old Dell, but that's not Ubuntu's fault.

Download the torrent from http://torrent.ubuntu.com:6969/ so that you don't have to wait for the servers (Which will probably be hammered for the next few days)
