That's what I don't get. Personally, I like the way ubuntu looks right out of the box...the only thing I change is the wallpaper usually. But, if you don't like the way it looks, change it! You can change the way absolutely everything looks. Try doing that with Windows - I've got little experience with Mac, so I don't know for sure, but I doubt you can change it as easily as you can change a gnome or KDE desktop. And you don't have to do anything difficult to make the changes. With Windows, you're pretty much stuck with the taskbar, start button, system tray setup. Sure you can dig down and change some stuff, but not as easily.
well sometimes you need to restart X cuz ain't nothing workin. So I'm not too confident that the "are you sure?" popup would even show and/or function.
And so it begins...high expectations and then faulty intel video drivers, crippled pulseaudio....And for people getting exited that Karmic comes with Firefox 3.5. LOL . I don't think it's something to get exited about....I mean its like saying Windows 7 will come with IE8 ?? WTF? It's supposed to be out as an update already on Jaunty instead all we had was a slow and RAM-hungry Firefox 3.0.13(now). Same with Intel video drivers for Jaunty ,most people are not able to watch full screen flash! videos on their system with intel graphics and all I'm hearing is that it's going to be fixed in Karmic. So we should be waiting every 6 months for something as important as having a good video playback on a system. Canonical is giving Ubuntu a bad name and since majority of people using Linux are on Ubuntu, they are also giving Linux a bad name."Regression" is the motto now for Ubuntu methinks.

In my opinion Vista looks like s**t. I just don't like how the start menu is a fat. Microsoft clearly doesn't appreciate minimalism.

@XeroXentih:Actually, no ... it is the often-missed language of which you are apparently quite fluent: Dumbassitcan-Sarcasticus, spoken world-wide.
