See 1:40 in the video. The presenter is running only Vista with "System" and "Computer" open - no non-OS apps. Switching from one to the other is very slow; rendering the new window happens one bit at a time which would indicate it is swapping from the flash memory, because the RAM is full.I'm very impressed the Vista runs this well on the Eee. It shows that Vista really scales a lot better than most people would have you believe. However, the video also show that Vista is pushing the Eee to the limit, without Aero enabled. Meanwhile, the Eee can handle the latest Ubuntu with Compiz enabled, and it still has some RAM to spare. I'm not bashing Vista here, just pointing out what I saw. I don't know why that gets me dugg down...
Actually, I just installed xubuntu on my 4G (701) and I spent all day trying to get advanced desktop settings to work (to no avail). I can't seem to get my usb bluetooth up and running either and there's even less help available for that.

You can already do that with Compiz and have been able to for some time.
