Frankly, in my opinion, British games are much better quality than US ones. Burnout is way better than Need For Speed. GTA is way better than Saint's Row. The only decent games I can think of to come out of the USA is something like Call of Duty or Halo - and of course, Gears of War. Ubisoft's games are also brilliant - Assassin's Creed, the Tom Clancy games - they're great. Ubisoft is a top quality publisher and doesn't suffer from the arrogance and low quality of most EA titles.

He's a fool. According to the UK's own finance minister they're going into the toilet for with negative growth for a few quarters. Expect a dollar rebound against the pound and probably the euro.

Yes, unfortunately, EU get screwed for imports. Taxes are also much higher over there. On the other hand, European cars are obviously priced lower. It's hard to compare the cost of living when the way of living is different.
