news.yahoo.com — Found this bit of misleading propoganda on the front page of Yahoo News: "marijuana being sold across the U.S. is stronger than ever, which could explain a growing number of medical emergencies ((242,200!!)) that involve the drug." Shocked? Now read the criteria that constitutes a "marijuana-related medical emergency."

-fta- According to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration, marijuana was involved in 242,200 visits to hospital emergency rooms in 2005. This means that the patient mentioned using marijuana and does not mean the drug directly caused the accident or condition being treated, SAMHSA says. The number is up from 215,000 visits in 2004.

It would be real nice if the government stopped treating its citizens like idiots. When they test for cannabis (marijuana), they test not for the psychoactive ingredient, THC, but for metabolites--the non-psychoactive form in which the 'toxins' are stored in the body's fat cells after decomposing. And "Pot 2.0" (f.t.a.)? It's embarrassing that each of us Americans has to pay the salaries of these peddlers of ridiculous bulls**t. But no matter. It's only a matter a time before more of the American public comes to call their bluff on the 'War on Drugs'.

marijuana is, in my opinion, the least of Americas problems, hell, if every one smoked a joint, or took a rip off a bong once a day, there would, undoubtedly be allot more peace, love and harmony, as hippie as it sounds......alcohol is far more dangerous, and yet, legal... there is no explanation for that that i would swallow!!!! its bulls**t, just another way to make this country a prison, and they say its free! ha!

they need to completely stop spending millions and millions of us dollars fighting weed, and concentrate on the s**t that gets people killed, and murdered....who feels me????

i have lost many jobs due to my strong principals...free country right, well then why can you not in your own home, in your own time do whatever the f**k you want, especially pot, it has no effect on the user the following day, the us is slowly becoming Checkloslovakia before the wall was torn down, and before people realized that they were no longer going to listen to the bulls**t propaganda...i am eager to discuss this.
