I seriously doubt most games use heavy encryption, so the normal deep packet inspections at the ISPs and the routers will pick up any chat.serious perps will be changing their com channels routinely and will always be one step ahead of the brain dead suits.A glorious chance to waste taxpayers money for not much oversight on waste and corruption of the gov contractors.
but have the feds got all communications covered, those pesky super villains with their tricksy super powers and ESP...various world government agencies were spending big bucks on researching ESP and similar decades ago.
But I play a totally different person when i'm in WoW.. you can't judge my acitons in WoW and relate them to real life..That's the whole point of the game.. creating different characters etc...
"..automatically.."I mean seriously.. and who says terrorists act in a certain way in an MMO... or are they saying they already know who the terrorists are in WoW and they will compared their in-game behavior with normal people? Who says the terrorists aren't cheap merchants helping out noobs?
The Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Act passes the House of Representatives 400 to 6 (to be voted on in the Senate in 2008). The act proposes the establishment of a commission composed of members of the House and Senate, Homeland Security and others, to "examine and report upon the facts and causes of violent radicalization, homegrown terrorism, and ideologically based violence in the United States” and specifically the role of the internet in fostering and disseminating extremism. According to the bill the term `violent radicalization' means the process of adopting or promoting an extremist belief system for the purpose of facilitating ideologically based violence to advance political, religious, or social change, while the term 'ideologically-based violence' means the use, planned use, or threatened use of force or violence by a group or individual to promote the group or individual's political, religious, or social beliefs.”
