thinkprogress.org — ThinkProgress is now banned from the U.S. military network in Baghdad. Recently, a U.S. soldier serving his second tour in Iraq said he can no longer access the site. The ban began shortly after Ret. Maj. Gen. John Batiste was a guest blogger on ThinkProgress. He posted an op-ed that was strongly critical of the President’s policies.

I'm on a network at Victory and TP isn't blocked at all. Never has been. The only problem I ever run across with, really, is streaming media and "personal backups/file sharing" that pops up from image hosting sites. Although, I was glad when they dropped the ban on Flickr.

TP reported that they were censored and blocekd. so ... again, for clarification, how is this story propagating baseless lies and conspiracy theories???

While I agree with your noting the hypocrisy, the US military isn't actually in Iraq to bring them freedom. It's about oil and control.

The article mentions the censorship. Censorship is Un-American. Just like judging and hating is not Christian. But most Americans have been dumbed down so they won't realize that.

Lessee, now. A Ret. Maj. Gen. John Batiste says "It is disappointing that so many elected representatives of my [Republican] party continue to blindly support the administration rather than doing what is in the best interests of our country.....The only way to stabilize Iraq and allow our military to rearm and refit for the long fight ahead is to begin a responsible and deliberate redeployment from Iraq..."A soldiers job is to do the best he can to 'defend' his country and his Constitution - so what's the problem with soldiers knowing what soldiers are saying?
