Fact of the matter remains, Iran is a terrorist state, actively advocating the destruction of Israel, and promoting violence against the west. It is now widely accepted that Iran is funneling funds and weapons across the border to aid in the insurgencies efforts to defeat and kill American troops. Not to mention actively spreading propaganda that Holocaust never existed. Even the 911 commission report states"In sum, there is strong evidence that Iran facilitated the transit of al Qaeda members into and out of Afghanistan before 9/11, and that some of these were future 9/11 hijackers."For this reason alone, a coward and thug like the Iranian president has no place at ground zero. What is even more disturbing is how many US citizens, through their comments on digg, and specifically this thread, seem to be more sympathetic towards Iran, a known terrorist state, than their own homeland.

It wouldn't surprise me if some unknown government agency pulled something on his trip. I think he should come, i think it's great, it's part of being a world leader and a diplomat, but at the same time I'm thinking it's a really really bad idea. This administration has already proved that they can do many things without taking responsibility, especially for any illegal actions.
