msnbc.msn.com— The United States is starting to look like a slowpoke on the Internet. Examples abound of countries that have faster and cheaper broadband connections, and more of their population connected to them.

I have traveled to Asia and I can tell theirs are just good on paper. They may have fast regional connection but whenever they go to google or facebook it is slow as hell. Also most of the time they are stuck with plans and contracts for years and suffers from non-existent customer services. In some countries the ISPs could ban you from using protocol like bittorrent suddenly without announcement to comply with the local laws. And don't get me started with the great firewall of China. US has been slipping to the slow side but it is not that too bad. Stop panicking like we are a third world country.
maybe hes saying thanks for nothin?shrugOne thing that also happens in a capitalist society is that big business creates anti competitiveness by protecting its own interest.

No, but it is part of it, and the Netherlands is more dense than the US, just like Europe has more population density than the US.Netherlands is ranked 16th and the U.S. 145. Quite a difference.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_ ...
