Actually, I have heard several industry experts predict a more realistic 3 - 5 year time frame.What's amazing to me is how the left says drilling is no good because it's not immediate relief, yet purpose alternate energy sources as the answer which will realistically take a very long time to develop an infrastructure for.

Does everyone always have to spell things out to you?Let me rephrase, just for you: there is no reason to believe that this would happen, nor that the decrease in price per barrel would last.Also, since oil is a fungible commodity (something you seem to completely ignore), all the OPEC countries would have to do is decrease production to send prices back up. Offshore drilling in itself is not a solution, and in fact will have a negligible impact on price over *decades* if it ever has one.As far as speculator goes, not you nor anyone else can predict how they would react. To claim otherwise is to be either ignorant, disingenuous, or both.The worst is that you have the gall to call others think after providing us with such a striking display of your own stupidity...

Kingcoopa4 uses the SAME EXACT statements in a different article crying about oil and how silly it is for people to think they should be allowed to vote if they even worry about their tire pressure. Heard a Rush Limbaugh listener admit on the air that he inflated his tires to the MAX pressure listed on the sidewall and then was surprised that after driving on the highway a tire blew out (from being overinflated after heating up). They tried to blame it on Obama because he was too stupid to know what the proper inflation was (check the glove box or driver's side door jamb)... he may be a future recipient of the Darwin award.

Statically small sample of two gas stations over a sixteen year period, where is your field data Mr Tea Kettle? Most people are idiots about their cars, when air was free they didn't use it, you can bet that they aren't looking through the car for quarters to check the tires now. believe what you want, at least I have real world data to draw upon.
