rawstory.com — "The kids in the back seat looked back in horror, mouths agape at the sight of the heavily armored Suburbans driven by large, armed men in dark sunglasses. The poor Iraqi driver frantically searched for a means of escape, but there was none. So the lead Blackwater vehicle smashed heedlessly into the car, pushing it into the barrier."

I was in a small SUV (classified as mid-class wagon) waiting at a red light when I was rear-ended at speed. My vehicle sustained a small amount of damage, while the other car needed to be towed. The driver and his passenger survived only because their airbags deployed. I can only imagine what would've happened had it been the other way around.

"Laws passed in 1936 effectively gave the Gestapo carte blanche to operate without judicial oversight. Nazi jurist Dr. Werner Best stated that as long as the Gestapo ... carries out the will of the leadership, it is acting legally. The Gestapo was specifically exempted from responsibility to administrative courts, where citizens normally could sue the state to conform to laws."from: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gestapo

To those who defend Blackwater, remember that these fools have no allegiance to our country. If they were offered more money to attack US soldiers while in Irak they would.

At this point in time Blackwater could be poisoning drinking wells with Yellow Rain and we would award them more contracts.

Compensation pay isn't dependant on the value of the actual life. It's whatever will help survivors make with their day to day life after the loss. 15 to 20k is lot in Iraq. But not much in the US. Big deal.

Blackwater's egregious actions have secured it a place in Corporate Accountability International's Corporate Hall of Shame this year. Visit stopcorporateabuse.org for more information on Blackwater's transgressions and this year's nominees.
