telegraph.co.uk — The US government is putting a hold on new solar energy projects on public land for two years so it can study the environmental impact of sun-driven plants. The Bureau of Land Management says the moratorium on solar proposals is needed to determine how a new generation of large-scale projects could affect plants and wildlife.

you have to compromise somewhere. put solar panels in the desert, the payoff is less mining/drilling for a resource that pollutes the environment in every step from extraction to transportation to use.

A standard environmental impact study....whats the big deal? Acres of glass reflecting the sun back into the atmosphere could do all kind of wired things. Better safe than sorry.

the republi**** and democrap party people in power are the same. They are just there to divide the people. The rich and the poor. They also give the false illusion to the poor that there is a hope while they give away our resources. http://www.thedailygreen.com/environmental-news/la ...

Ted Kennedy prevented an offshore wind farm from being installed 1 mile off the east coast. Real environmental of him.
