The tough message was delivered by Norman Podhoretz, one of the founders of neoconservatism.

Does anyone even care to ask what is the plan for the US the day after they bomb Iran? What if Iran retaliates by sending 100s of scuds over US installations and kills 100s if not 1000s of Americans? what if they attack all the ships in the Persian Gulf and stop the oil flow out of the region? What if they attack US ships in the Persian Gulf and sink some of them? And what gives the US the right to dictate what other countries should do or not do? If Iran is attacked by the US, then any attack to any US factory anywhere in the world will be justified and every American anywhere in the world could be a target for people who want to stop US aggression. What will be the end of this madness? total destruction of our planet? Millions people dead and displaced? For what? So Mr. Guiliani and his advisors will tell us in a few years after that they were WRONG, DEAD WRONG? Just like they were about Iraq in 2002-2003?

This is utter madness and Norman Podhoretz cannot die fast enough. This guy was a direct contributor to the nightmare we are in in Iraq (Through Rummy and Wolfowitz) and now is having private meetings with the Nut in the White House encouraging him to bomb Iran? Read this article, it is crazy! He says this will take "5 minutes". You just wake up one morning and fire the missiles.Another example where Giuliani is a nutball for listening to this guy.

This tells ME that we can forget Guiliani if he is the nominee because we will get Bush redux. Of course on many things we will get that if Hillary is elected. THE ONLY alternative is a third party candidate who doesn't have neocons on their staff or listens to them and their 'cakewalk wars." These chicken hawks who never served ONE day i the military have a really easy time sending other mother's sons into harm's way. They indicate THEIR ignorance by suggesting a war can be won with a BOMBING. No war in history has been totally won by bombing - Nagasaki and Hiroshima were the icing on the already won war in the Pacific. Bombing can make people angry and solidify their hatred for those doing the bombing. If the dimwits of both parties go along with this - count on a wdier war in the middle east and gas prices no one who isn't a billionaire can afford for long. PLUS, every war we have ever fought in means the further degradation of society and a growing erosion of freedoms - individual and for states. I am appalled that anyone would listen to Podhurtz --- but than nothing the establishment republicrats of the corpogovernment surprises me any more.
