I think it is extremely important that this information gets into the hands of our congressional representatives. The Hinchely/Rohrabacher amendment is coming up soon for a vote in Congress. This amendment would protect medical cannabis users from Federal prosecution. Knowledge that the government not only knows that cannabis has medical properties, but has taken out a patent on it, should sway those representatives who are feeling 'iffy' about the issue. Truth will win in the end. I hope that everyone that reads this will send a copy or a link to this patent to their respective representatives, and ask them to rethink the whole issue of medical marijuana in light of these findings.
