ecogeek.org — The world is such a strange place. Faced with the burgeoning demand sunny land in the southwest United States, the Bureau of Land Management has decided to put a two-year moratorium new solar power plants. During this period, they're going to be doing studies on the impact that solar power plants have on desert habitat and wildlife.

Once again the Environmentalist movement in the United States is NOT ABOUT SAVING THE EARTH. It is about destroying the capitalistic system that has allowed the country to be the super power. The "Green Movement" is really more like a watermelon, green on the outside and red on the inside.

I love animlas but Placing animals rights over human rights is unjust. Many of the very same people who want to place animal rights over human rights say that humans are in the same class as animals.they also believe in darwins survival of the fittest... need i say more? I wonder who would survive. animals vs humanalssince we NEED border control to define our nations borders... and to protect us against the terrorists (if you really believe that), figure out a different way to help that poor jaguar. or any rats that may be effected. Florida has a panther, same as the mountain lion that is rare anymore. but they dont make a fuss over it or conserve ANY land because of that big cat. tehre was on in my back yard about 2 years ago. but there is no more bobwhite quail that used to be in coveys of 45 or more... none in the last 10 years have i seen in this area. How about this info: Prarie dogs are being protected against oil drilling, drilling that would HELP our economy immediatly. guess what? Prairie dogs are rodents that carry BUBONIC PLAGUE... which kills people.how many animals have went extinct that humans had NO part in? we will live, we are more important than the animals.

Which makes this moratorium very strange.... right? yes. its a scam. they need those quiet power houses to produce for the 20 million homes per plant. this is absurd that ANYONE can take this lightly.

Wow, you think we would want to have a impact study done for every major development, I am sure there is a ton of private land that will be used in the meantime. I rather have solar power farm then say coal or a Nuclear plant near me.
