I'm burying this because in less than 24 hours, this story has been milked to hell. I live in New York City and this takes up all the TV stations. Some stations were even going to film reuniting families like spies. It's all cheesy and sleazy.
It might be too heavy? I read that the fuel is lighter than water and also the air in the cabin helped to keep it afloat. I also read the engines tore off on impact, making the plane lighter. Or maybe super-Barack tore them off?
