@ spoboWhich would only make sense considering Bush is hoping to return to office. Seriously when he's caught he's caught, no one has anything to prove.

@noahhoward, @ddigby, @cleaniness:Right, I've heard it from multiple sources. Right now from the 9/11 Scholars movement, in a book called "9/11 and American Empire" (an amazing book for anyone who wants to know the big picture of what's wrong with America, and the overview of the war on terror etc - very highly recommended). From: <a class="user" href="http://www.globalresearch.ca/articles/CHO109C.html">http://www.globalresearch.ca/articles/CHO109C.html</a>"Osama bin Laden was recruited during the Soviet-Afghan war "ironically under the auspices of the CIA, to fight Soviet invaders".", "in Laden and the "Afghan Arabs" had been imparted "with very sophisticated types of training that was allowed to them by the CIA""Then French Intelligence said it:<a class="user" href="http://www.guardian.co.uk/waronterror/story/0,1361,584444,00.html">http://www.guardian.co.uk/waronterror/story/0,1361,584444,00.html</a><a class="user" href="http://www.wanttoknow.info/011101upiwashtimes">http://www.wanttoknow.info/011101upiwashtimes</a>This stuff is well known, go and look it up yourself. And more to the point start accepting reality - CIA trained Bin Laden and the Taliban, the US armed Iraq, and so and so on. I think you'll find this is known as geopolitical engineering.

Let's see. Muslims in America and all over the world routinely condemn attacks made in the name of their faith, but it gets no coverage. Between a Muslim leader condemning an attack and stock footage of some Palestinian kids burning Israeli and American flags, the stock footage wins every time.

@ festus: "Vaporize" Taliban leaders at what cost? How about trying to find the root cause, address and eliminate future scenarios rather than kill everyone now and wait for another similar scenario to arise? US foreign policy is f**ked up. Period.

Umm -- habeas corpus has nothing to do with my statement.Show me the body (or other incontrovertible evidence) -- was a statement directed to all the people who say Bin Laden is already dead -- in other words -- I WILL BELIEVE BIN LADEN IS DEAD WHEN I SEE ABSOLUTE PROOF -- not just speculation. BTW: habeas corups is the name of a legal action or writ by means of which detainees can seek relief from unlawful imprisonment.
