USA Today's article states that 78% of Americans support the bailout, yet their own poll currently shows the exact opposite, 78% do not support the bailout!Article: http://www.usatoday.com/money/economy/2008-09-25-p ...Poll: http://blogs.usatoday.com/ondeadline/2008/09/quick ...

Actually, they're referring to the Gallup poll of 1000+ people done on 9/24. However, I think it very telling and ironic that they're very own poll shows the exact opposite. Says something about Gallup polls, doesn't it?

Can you believe the gall of these liars using the USA name to promote a blackmail bill against the american people? The great USA name should be stripped from thier paper and all their editors should be locked away for running with a story that undermines the american economy and our constitutional system. Shame on the poor excuse of reporters who ran with this story.

@ runforron:You're comparing different polls. The poll that you link to (currently 82% say no) has "Bush administration *proposal*" wording in the (1) question. This poll is still active. The poll in the blog you submitted was taken Wednesday evening, had 6 questions, articulated much better, http://www.usatoday.com/money/economy/2008-09-25-w ...and does indicate somewhat similar results with 22% of voters approving of the bailout plan exactly as proposed by Bush unchanged.
